What. A. Week. Absolutely and thoroughly spoiled by my amazing family and friends as I turned 40. My wife booked a stupendous house in Warwickshire for a few nights which had gorgeous views, nice decor and great entertaining space. Plus an arcade machine! 🕹️👾
This exact week five years ago, my wife and I were on holiday in Lecce, which is right down in the heel of the boot in Italy, in the Salento region. While we were there, we tried a local specialty called a puccia, which is a sandwich where the bread is made of pizza dough (yes, amazing right?!).
The Big Stack at @waylandsyard was a delicious force to be reckoned with. This is the perfect breakfast if you can't decide if you're feeling more like bacon, sausage or avo - it's got them all!
I'm turning 40 next week and feeling a mix of incredibly calm and "oh shit, here we go" about it.
Sunday lunch at @paulprywr1 was worthy of every bit of hype I'd read, and then some. Absolutely flawless roasts, lovely service and generous side dishes of pigs in blankets (£4) and broccoli/cauli cheese (£6).
I was pleased as punch to win this box of brownies by @giftedbrowniesuk in their recent giveaway! Though it was hard to pick what flavour I wanted my prize to be, I'm a sucker for peanut butter so chose these PB and Oreo brownies. They are so good!
